Marduk is a Swedish black metal band founded in 1990 by guitarist Morgan Steinmeyer Håkansson with the aim of creating “the most blasphemous band in the world” in the city of Norrköping, Sweden. The band’s name comes from the ancient Babylonian god Marduk, the patron deity of the city of Babylon.
