The home of the Monterrey Rayados
The BBVA Bancomer Stadium was built over a four-year period following an investment of $200 million (USD), on a site covering 245,000.471 square meters.
The project covers an area of 106,265.44 square meters, with the following dimensions: exterior height on the north side 49 meters, height from the north overhang to the field 59 meters, roof overhang 55 meters, stadium length (N-S) 269 meters, width (E-W) 227 meters, and exterior perimeter of the stadium 814 meters.
With a capacity of 51,000 spectators (43,000 general admission seats, 5,000 club seats, and 324 suites), the construction of BBVA Bancomer Stadium required 6,300 tons of steel, aluminum for the roof, facade, and railings, 5,600 tons of rebar, and 57,000 cubic meters of concrete. The structure’s roof is made of Kalzip aluminum sheeting and measures 54,000 square meters.
