Perched atop Cerro del Obispado, right next to the city’s most beautiful viewpoint, stands this museum, considered the oldest monument in northeastern Mexico, built in the Baroque style of the late Viceroyalty period (1787). It is a symbol of Monterrey and houses an archaeological and largely historical collection, featuring artifacts from the 18th and 19th centuries.
