Nuevo León

It is named after a marsh located on land belonging to Don Pedro Flores.

Ciénega de Flores is located north of the city of Monterrey, in the region known as the Gulf Coastal Plain. Its municipal seat is located at coordinates 25°58′ north latitude and 100°10′ west longitude, at an elevation of 440 meters above sea level. It borders Salinas Victoria to the north and west, Apodaca and General Zuazua to the south, and General Zuazua to the east.
