The oldest cantina in all of Monterrey. Dating back to 1910, some claim that even Fidel Castro himself and professional boxer José “Mantequilla” Nápoles visited this place. Lontananza is a cultural and culinary landmark for many locals, so much so that even David Toscana, one of the city’s most award-winning and widely read writers, wrote a book about this long-standing establishment.
