5 Things to Do When You Visit Machaca
The Machaca Festival at Fundidora Park is just around the corner, and we know that many people start arriving in the state days in advance. That’s why we’ve put together a few suggestions to help you enjoy your stay in Nuevo León before and after the festival.
1- Take a stroll through Barrio Antiguo

You're sure to find something you like. There are cafes, bookstores, comedy clubs, anime-themed spots, and even a great arcade. It's practically a must-see.
2- Discover our Magical Towns

You can take a tour with any of our tour operators to experience the true magic of Nuevo León and discover the region’s authentic flavors. On every tour, you’ll find plenty of culture, traditions, and incredible spots for Instagram-worthy photos.
3- Take a boat ride around Santa Lucía

This boat will take you back and forth along the Paseo Santa Lucía while the captain tells you more about the city’s history and shares interesting facts. It’s a great way to travel from the Macroplaza to Fundidora Park and back.
4. Visit the MARCO Museum

The Monterrey Museum of Contemporary Art, known as MARCO, is one of the most important museums in the state and the region. Here you’ll find fascinating exhibitions all year round, and it’s an incredible architectural space. Here, culture and art are everywhere.
5- Try the goat at Pipiripau

When people think of Nuevo León, they immediately think of cabrito and carne asada. And at this spot, you can sample both dishes, but the star of the show is definitely the cabrito. This place is located in the Juárez Market, where you’ll find handicrafts, hats, boots, and a few other somewhat mysterious items. But don’t be put off—head up to the third floor, and there you’ll find the delicious flavor of one of the best cabritos in the state at a great price.
Here are our recommendations for making the most of your stay in the state. And if you’re just coming to Machaca, stay an extra day and enjoy some of these attractions!
